As you approach our Tasting Room, you'll drive past the orchard of 4,500 trees - all producing Virginia cider apples. These specific varieties are grown with intent to create hard ciders of various styles which reflect the taste and terroir of Virginia - and specifically, the Castle Hill grounds.

We are a small batch cidery located on Rt.11and just off Interstate 81 in Natural Bridge,Virginia. Our tasting room is a cozy log cabin and we have a renovated milk barn with extra indoor seating plus some cool, retro games! We have tons of outdoor seating and a gorgeous labyrinth orchard of approximately 2000 trees which visitors are encouraged to explore and enjoy!

The Showalter family has been growing apples for over 60 years on a century-old orchard. The art of blending and pressing fresh apple cider began in 1974. Old Hill Cider is the Shenandoah Valley’s first hard cidery. Cidermaker, Shannon Showalter, crafts ciders in innovative ways that honor early American methods. By growing and carefully selecting apples that are perfect for fermenting, Showalter highlights each chosen apple varietal's character. Old Trade is a family-owned, family-friendly and pet-friendly rural operation located in historic Brandy Station, VA (Culpeper County). We have an onsite tasting room where you can try hand-crafted beer, cider, and wine as well as an outdoor back back to enjoy the sunsets over the Blue Ridge Mountains. There is no shortage of things to do here, including live music, playground, dog park, shuffleboard, darts, bounce house and axe throwing stations! Old Trade is conveniently located near the cities of Culpeper, Warrenton, and Manassas and is within 1.25 miles of major highway Rt 29.

Sage Bird Ciderworks is located in downtown Harrisonburg, VA in the heart of the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. We use locally-sourced fruit and flavor to produce small-batch, hand-crafted hard cider that honors tradition and welcomes the future.
